'work for impact' website, a platform for ethical freelancers

I’ve recently come across Work For Impact, that describes itself as an ethical freelancing platform connecting purpose driven businesses with freelancers.

We are a more dynamic, impactful and ethical way of sourcing talent. Work for Impact is the first B Corp™ certified online independent contractor platform.

When you get hired on Work for Impact, you’re becoming part of a world-changing force to champion fair employment opportunities and directly powering further education in low-income countries.

While I’ve currently got plenty of work with a couple of agencies as well as my direct clients, I’m tempted to sign up and see what kind of organisations are using Work For Impact.

The companies are vetted and payment terms seem agreeable, with milestones agreed and payment within a couple of weeks by Stripe or Payoneer. There’s also no lock-in and freelancers are free to work on other platforms. Rates for freelancers look like 12% up to $10k and then 7% after that, which could just be built in to your quotes.

I’ll report back if and when I sign up with more information and my thoughts on the companies looking for ethical freelancers.
